Unpublished, time-sensitive and proposed rules for March 12, 2014:

PROPOSED RULE: This document contains a proposed amendment to the final regulation under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA or the Act) requiring that certain service providers to pension plans disclose information about the service providers’ compensation and potential conflicts of interest. The amendment would, upon adoption, require covered service providers to furnish a guide to assist plan fiduciaries in reviewing the disclosures required by the final rule if the disclosures are contained in multiple or lengthy documents. This amendment will affect pension plan sponsors and fiduciaries and certain service providers to such plans. Written comments on the proposed amendment should be received by the Department on or before June 10, 2014. (To submit comments, visit http://www.regulations.gov, reference RIN 1210–AB08.)
